My friend and I used to noodle over Proverbs 18:16:
“A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men.”
We imagined these rooms in the context of a home and would often ask:
How many rooms?How many gifts?
For years, this has stayed with me as a reminder of how the Lord has uniquely designed me.
I am dynamic by nature, moving fluidly between spaces and roles.
The Lord has given me the ability to function and contribute in many places, yet this world often demands simplicity for the sake of categorization.
Society prefers neat labels.
One career. One lane. One identity.
But that’s not how I was created.
I’ve finally arrived at a place where I’m comfortable with it.
What’s helped is recognizing that God Himself is limitless, boundless, and full of dimensions beyond human comprehension.
He is the author of creativity, innovation, and expansion—and those of us who carry multiple gifts are living reflections of His multifaceted nature. Every gift has a designated space, a unique purpose, and a specific audience.
The beauty of being multidimensional is that you’re not limited to one industry, one function, or one box—you are called to navigate many.
To deny one of your gifts is to close off a room where someone was meant to encounter what God placed in you.
This isn’t just about you. It’s about the lives tied to your obedience.
Free yourself from the limitations you’ve placed on yourself.
Embrace and OWN the fullness of what God has given you.
There is no limit to what God can do through you when you stop trying to fit where you were never meant to be confined.
The space is already prepared.
Step into it.
xoxo Maya
