A conversation with Maya whether you're a client visiting her business Remedy Salon, or a follower listening in on her #CarTalks via Instagram where "her friend the sun" always seems to beam in just the right direction--one thing is for sure: Maya loves to inspire, communicate and change people's perspective on just how much beauty and greatness lies within them. 

 

Her purpose for building others up took it's first steps at the age of 18 when she held her first conference under her then named non-profit, Plus Positive, an organization aimed to spread positivity to an often ostracized plus size demographic. It was then that Maya realized the magnitude of misunderstandings that lie within women about who they are, what they can become and where they are destined to go.  Coupling this need with over 15 years of serving the needs of women through beauty, Maya has hit a niche uncovering the true beauty that lies within every woman she meets.

Maya states, "My desire is for every woman I meet to know that they are capable of achieving anything they put their minds to. I believe more women should bet on themselves, first, without needing validation or approval from others. We were created with the ability to shake the world up through simply being our authentic selves, and I aim to cultivate that type of true confidence from the inside-out within every woman I meet. I wouldn't have it any other way."
